  • Strategic business development:
    • Responsibility for the execution of the area Sales Strategy
  • Customer relationship management:
    • Maintain direct customer relationships with key customers.
    • Build new relationships with potential customers.
  • Governance:
    • Ensure that the Governance requirements of Enaex Africa are fully met.
    • Manage the legal compliance procedures for safety, health, and environment on all production  sites always ensure adherence to Enaex Africa policies and procedures, ensure a Enaex accepted approach to doing business; always ensure legal compliance.
    • Financial:
    • Execute the sales and marketing strategy to maximise sustainable profit and growth of the company.
    • Develop, implement and manage respective budgets (CFC, sales and capital).
    • Achievement of the agreed budgets.
    • Supply accurate monthly sales and cost forecasts.
    • Debtors’ control.
    • Management of supply contract with customers.
    • Safety:
    • Deliver compliance within the safety and environment plan.
    • Ensure that training of employees is adhered to and is up to date.
    • Ensure compliance to Enaex minimum standards.
    • Problem solving:
    • Produce quality decisions and find solutions to improve team results.

    • Strategy contribution translated and executed:
    • Manage and lead direct reports on performance and the management of others.
    • Agree performance goals with direct reports and ensure agreements with all other employees in the business are in place.
    • Communicate and execute change and improvement effectively.
    • Lead and apply new ideas and work methods and opportunities for improving business results through team engagement.
    • Consistently support the implementation of business optimisation initiatives.
    • Ensure that vision, values, and business direction are embraced by the team.
    • Team effectiveness management:
    • Identify talent and develop personnel to ensure a competent work force.
    • Review performance regularly and give recognition where it is due.
    • Manage individual/team performance issues.
    • Ensure that self and team achieve development objectives.

Relationships, teamwork, and collaboration:

  • Upstream and downstream interface management:
  • Build constructive relationships with Mining Services, Business Enablement, Financial, Inbound/Outbound Logistics, etc.
  • Communicate relevant information gained from customers and external interfaces with peers.
  • Deliver on customer needs to drive operational results in the best interest of the customer and the company.
  • Manage monthly technical meetings with customers.
  • Drive optimisation projects on customer sites ensure senior management of Sasol interactions with customers on a regular basis, at least a site visit once a year.

 

 

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification is a must (preferably Commercial, Engineering, Mining or other technical)
  • Business qualification a wish (MBA/MBL)
  • Fluency in English.

Specific experience required:

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience essential of which 8 years in a Sales and Marketing environment with managerial experience in underground and Open Cast.
  • Explosives Industry specific knowledge: products, product application, competitors, mining processes
  • Knowledge of financial statements, corporate governance preferable.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Must be a Namibian Citizen.
